dr-jacenta-parker-cox-dvm-dogDr. Jacenta Parker-Cox, our Chief of Staff, grew up in Middletown and still lives here today. She attended the Xavier University of Lousiana for her undergraduate degree, and Cornell University for her veterinary degree.

Dr. Parker-Cox's special interests include dentistry and exotic animal medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys essential oils, reading, and spending time with her family and her cat named Pinocchio.

 

Michael Barra, DVMDr. Michael Barra earned a BS degree from Cornell University and then went on to receive a DVM degree from Cornell University in 1973. He is a 40-year member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the New York State Veterinary Medical Society (NYSVMS) and the Hudson Valley Veterinary Medical Society.

Dr. Barra has taken many post-graduate courses, seminars and labs in a variety of disciplines including orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery endoscopy, dentistry, laser surgery, ultrasound and internal medicine and holistic medicine. His main area of interest in veterinary medicine is advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures, which he perform routinely at our hospital.

Dr. Nicholas Sterlacci received an undergraduate degree in Biology from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York in 2005. He earned his DVM degree from St. George’s University in West Indies, Grenada in 2009. Prior to joining the Ani-Mall Hospital team, Dr. Sterlacci practiced in Orange County.

He lives with his wife, who is also a veterinarian, and their many pets. In his free time, Dr. Sterlacci enjoys hockey, gardening, and riding his motorcycle.
