"I have been a general practitioner and an emergency room veterinarian for many years. The most incredible and fulfilling part of my job is to be a spokesperson for animals and ultimately, a healer. I absolutely enjoy the challenges and rewards in practicing veterinary medicine. I was born and raised in North Carolina, the youngest of three children. I have 3 nieces and 1 nephew whom I love to spend time with whenever possible. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from North Carolina State University. Thereafter, I worked for years as a general practice and emergency room veterinary technician before attending veterinary school. I completed my senior clinical year at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with highest honors with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. My special interests in veterinary medicine are extraordinary patient care, internal medicine, teaching, emergency/critical care medicine, holistic healing and acupuncture. I moved to the Hudson Valley area in 2005 and have since been practicing as a general practitioner as well as an emergency/critical care clinician. I reside in the New Paltz area with my four amazing dogs. Solomon (Shepherd mix), Maggie (German Shorthair Pointer), Lady (Pit Bull), and Luna Kava Gilles (Poodle) are my wonderful dogs whom enjoy hiking and swimming with me when I am not working. I am also an avid kayaker and love to paddle whenever I can on the many rivers in this beautiful area."

My mom runs her own dog-walking business in Rockland County so I've been working with animals all of my life. I have 2 dogs, Buttons and Zippy, and a Russian Blue named Greyboy. I wish I could adopt all of the strays that come through our doors but that's where we need your help."
